Move-In Day Guide for New Height Movers Moving Services

1. Preparation Before the Big Day

  • Confirm Your Moving Details:

Ensure all moving details are confirmed at least 48 hours before the moving day. This includes the date, time, addresses, and any specific instructions (e.g., elevator reservations, parking permits, or fragile item handling).


  • Create a Move-In Checklist:

Make a list of all items you're moving in and their designated spots in the new home. This will help our team place everything in the right room, saving you time later on.


  • Packing Essentials:

Pack all personal and essential items (e.g., toiletries, documents, medications, and valuable items) in separate boxes or bags. It's best to keep them with you on moving day.


  • Prepare the New Home:

Ensure your new home is ready for the move. Clear pathways for the movers, and make sure utilities like water, electricity, and internet are connected.

2. On Moving Day: What to Expect

  • Arrival Time:

Our team will arrive within the scheduled time frame. Please allow for a 30-minute window in case of unforeseen delays.


  • Final Walkthrough of Old Home:

Before we begin, we will do a final walkthrough of your old home to make sure nothing is overlooked. Double-check for items in closets, basements, attics, and garages.


  • Loading Process:

We’ll begin loading your belongings onto the truck, starting with the heaviest items (like furniture and appliances). Fragile items will be carefully wrapped and protected.


  • Handling Specialty Items:

If you have fragile, expensive, or particularly large items (e.g., pianos, artwork, or antiques), let us know in advance, so we can allocate the right equipment and extra manpower for safe transport.

3. Arrival at the New Home

  • Unloading the Truck:

 Once we arrive at your new home, our team will carefully unload your items and place them in the designated rooms as per your instructions.


  • Check Everything Off:

 We will conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure that all items have been delivered and are in the correct locations. If something is missing or needs to be rearranged, please let us know.
